Meet the Team – Katie DordunooSenior Search Consultant

Katie (Demers) Dordunoo joined Chesapeake Search Partners as a Senior Search Consultant for the Human Resources practice in June of 2018. Born and raised in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area, Katie received her BS in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati. She moved to Baltimore in 2011 and graduated with her MS in Human Resources Development from Towson University in 2015.

Katie started her talent acquisition career at The BOSS Group recruiting for creative, marketing, and digital roles. She has also recruited in operations, IT and Human Resources. She is a dedicated partner to candidates and clients prioritizing strong collaboration and communication. For Katie, the most rewarding aspect of what she does is the excitement and joy of helping someone find their next great opportunity!

Katie is an avid Cleveland sports fan and there is friendly banter throughout the office regarding the AFC North (she will never root for the Ravens). Outside of the office, she enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with her husband, Marcel, and attending Orangetheory Fitness classes.

 

Meet the Team – Jason NemoyPartner, Practice Director

Jason Nemoy joined the CSP team in September 2016 to help build and grow the firm’s HR Practice. Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Jason received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He moved to Baltimore in 2001 and graduated with his MS in Human Resources Development from Towson University in 2010.

Jason started his career in talent acquisition with the national restaurant chain, California Pizza Kitchen. He was fortunate to be part of a great wave of growth in a 12-year span, helping “CPK” staff over 100 locations. He then went on to pursue his Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification, and has held various executive HR leadership roles in the Baltimore area. Jason is dedicated to providing an exceptional experience and close partnership with candidates and clients, and really enjoys seeing relationships flourish and grow.

So when not working, Jason spends quality time simply being “dad” with his two teenage daughters, Kate and Annie either cooking, spending time outdoors, or “ubering” them at their beck and call. He also finds time to travel back to California several times a year to hanging out with his immediate family and life-long friends. It’s safe to say he has the best of both world, both on the east and west coasts. He especially loves the small town feel of Baltimore. “Smaltimore.”

 

Meet the Team – Jen SchneiderSenior Search Consultant 

Meet Jen Schneider.  Jen has been with CSP since November of 2016 and is a Search Consultant in our Sales, Marketing and Operations practice. Jen is born and raised in Baltimore and attended Towson University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Deaf Studies. After graduating Jen was a teacher at Maryland School for the Deaf for 5 years before transitioning to the corporate world in the HR Department at Maxim Healthcare. In 2013 Jen entered the world of full cycle Sales, Marketing and Operations recruiting.

Jen prides herself on developing and maintaining meaningful relationships with both candidates and clients to ensure the highest level of partnership. She is always willing to be a resource to someone in transition to point them in the right direction during a career search. Jen has spent the last 7 years not only getting to know her colleagues but the business itself. It has helped Jen to grow personally and professionally and as a working Mom of two boys she understands the importance of balancing work and family life.

Outside of the office Jen enjoys spending time with her husband Eric and her boys Hudson (age 5) and Macon (age 3). As a family they enjoy hiking, playing outside and pulling out instruments for a jam session. Jen’s favorite bands/musicians include Guns N Roses, Queen and Lady Gaga. Dance parties are a daily thing in her household, and she will take any excuse to throw a party, a theme party is even better!

Meet the Team – Johnny Black, Partner, Practice Director

Meet Johnny Black, one of our Founders and Practice Directors. Johnny has been in the recruiting industry his entire professional career from Intern to now a founder of a firm. Throughout his career he has successfully recruited for a variety of skills to include Real Estate, Banking, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Accounting and even Human Resources. This experience has allowed him to support many companies and individuals.

When it comes to Johnny’s approach to business, he believes it’s always about the people that can help shape your career. “I have been fortunate to surround myself with so many great people early in my career. I believe it fuels my passion for this business. Individuals from my parents, to Coach Koudelka at Lynchburg Men’s Lacrosse, to Ned Walton, to my CSP partners and entire team; they have all helped me get better personally and professionally. I have those individuals to thank and so many more for helping me along the way.”

When Johnny isn’t spending time with Chesapeake Search Partners, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Erin, and daughters Parker (5) and Wynn (3). While he appreciates the invite to a best ball golf outing, he’ll be the first one to tell you he’s not an avid golfer. He brings his passion to squash, tennis, and paddle…big racquet sports guy. Oh yeah…and he’s definitely into the Peloton movement.
