CHESAPEAKE SEARCH PARTNERS CELEBRATES 10 YEARS IN BUSINESS
Expands to a new office and launches full-service HR solutions and new IT practice
BALTIMORE, MD (May 31, 2023)— Chesapeake Search Partners (CSP), a professional search and consulting firm, celebrates 10 years of building relationships and supporting the growth of companies in the Greater Baltimore region and beyond. A refreshed lighthouse logo timestamps the firm’s 10-year anniversary while honoring its commitment and evolution as a search partner. CSP is also announcing the launch of Chesapeake HR Solutions, an extension of the firm’s HR Practice led by Jason Nemoy, as well as a new standalone IT Practice led by Laura Reynolds. To support the growth, the team has relocated to a new office space located in the heart of Towson at 502 Washington Ave.
“One decade ago, Rick Fribush, John Geraghty, and I launched CSP in my parent’s garage. We were focused on key values that would set us apart from our competition, including showing empathy and commitment, transparency and responsiveness,” said Johnny Black, Co-Founder and Practice Lead. “Fast forward to today, and we remain focused on those core values and continue to reinvest into the business, ultimately striving to build one of the strongest recruiting teams in the region. We are honored to celebrate this special milestone alongside our employees and our partners.”
The Evolution of the Lighthouse and a New Office Space
CSP’s lighthouse logo, an emblem of the business, received a refresh for the anniversary. “In developing the new logo, we reflected on what being a true search partner means to our team and our clients and worked to reflect this in a visual way,” said Black. “Similar to a lighthouse, CSP is a reliable, stable partner with unwavering commitment. Just as a lighthouse offers solace and assurance to ships seeking safe harbors, we provide exceptional search services, ensuring our clients navigate their way to exceptional talent.”
In addition to growing its current practice areas, CSP continues to bring on new team members to accommodate growth. The new office space was designed for this expanded team as well as in response to what CSP believes is the new working model. “We believe professional flexibility is here to stay. When we want our team in the office, we want them there with a purpose, and we have developed an office space that facilitates that,” said Rick Fribush, Partner, Practice Director – Accounting and Finance.
“With networking returning, we felt it was important to have space to entertain. Employees and partners want to have some level of interaction, so it’s important to have a space that facilitates that,” said John Geraghty, Partner, Director of Recruiting Operations. “We also take pride in our employee retention and make an effort to have work be as fun as possible. We’re excited to get back to our pre-pandemic schedule of events and lunches, happy hours, and sports experience.”
Chesapeake HR Solutions
A new sub-brand of CSP, Chesapeake HR Solutions was born out of the opportunity to offer well-rounded HR support that achieves all of the needs businesses have today – all in a one-stop-shop service. The collaboration between both the Professional Search and HR Consulting teams is very strong. Services include HR Leadership & Support, Project-Based HR Consulting, Executive Coaching and Leadership Development, and Outplacement and Career Coaching.
“Simply put, strategic HR continues to be a priority for many of our clients,” said Jason Nemoy, Partner and Practice Director – Human Resources. “Our clients are asking for additional HR support to service their organizations, especially the start-up or small company space. By formalizing this expansion of HR services, we are able to bring that level of expertise to the market.”
A New IT Practice
CSP has also added Information Technology Recruiting to its roster of professional search services. The firm welcomes Laura Reynolds as Senior Search Consultant, IT Recruiting to lead this new division. The IT Practice specializes in filling roles including but not limited to Software Engineers, Administrators, Business/Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and IT Leaders.
