Community Connections

Contributing to the Success of Our Community is in OUR DNA

CSP’s foundation is built on relationships – the people and organizations that make Baltimore and Washington DC truly unique. We are passionate about giving back to these communities that have given us so much both professionally and personally.

Embedded in our corporate culture is the belief that we must get involved. By putting ourselves out there, by connecting with the community, we’ll make a difference by leveraging our talent for good.

How We’re Giving Back:

Next One Up provides young men in Baltimore City with access to resources and opportunities to enable them to have the bright future they deserve. CSP is involved in mentoring, and supporting the career development of these young men with mock interviews, resume workshops, internship preparation, and more.

JARC Baltimore promotes strong communities, businesses, and households to ensure that people who work do not live in poverty. By providing free manufacturing job training, the organization helps both job seekers and employers advance in today’s rapidly changing economy. CSP supports JARC by conducting mock interviews with trainees to prepare them for upcoming interviews in the real world and has held ‘Soft Skills’ workshops to further develop the trainees’ job-seeking skills and answer any questions they may have about entering the workforce.

The Catch a Lift Fund enables post-9/11 combat-injured veterans all over the U.S. to recover and rehabilitate both physically and mentally through physical fitness, motivation, and support. The Catch A Lift Fund has helped thousands regain their mental and physical health through gym memberships, in-home gym equipment, personalized fitness and nutrition programs, and a peer support network. CSP supports CAL by attending their volunteer nights to provide assistance with anything the organization might need, such as folding t-shirts or creating gift bags for upcoming events. Additionally, CSP hopes to bring awareness to CAL through sharing content and volunteer opportunities related to their cause.

The CSP Intern Spotlight Program is our path to help young professionals network and kickstart their careers. We do this by developing professional “social” introductions to companies highlighting a new candidate in our Intern of the Week posts that live on LinkedIn and our website.

Partner, Practice Director - Accounting & Finance

Rick is a founding member of Chesapeake Search Partners and Practice Director for the Accounting & Finance Practice, facilitating all direct-hire and contractual searches within these fields. Rick began his career as a CPA in public/corporate accounting. He joined the recruiting industry in 1993 with The Mergis Group. He then went on to successfully lead the Accounting & Finance Practice for Stephen James Associates. As he continued those efforts throughout his tenure in the industry, he realized there was a lack of support for the demand of a recruiting partner in these industries within the Baltimore/DC market.

Rick graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
