Position Summary

The Senior Search Consultant position is a challenging and rewarding opportunity at CSP, one that allows for close partnership and collaboration with fellow team members and clients. In addition, the role provides a balance of organizational support while offering an elevated degree of autonomy related to search projects and client relationships. The Senior Search Consultant also provides mentoring opportunities for other Search Consultants.

The incumbent will be involved in the search consulting process from beginning to end, with overall responsibilities to include conducting intake meetings with clients collaboratively to ensure agreed upon qualification criteria for candidates; publishing ads and content on career pages, job boards, and social media that reflect our brand while engaging prospective candidates; sourcing and screening potential candidates; growing your professional network, and growing the CSP brand through various platforms.

In close partnership and collaboration with the Practice Director and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), the Senior Search Consultant more actively gathers passive leads and cultivates business for their own practice.

  • Organize, update, and maintain candidates’ data(i.e. resumes, availability and contact details) in internal databases
  • Build and maintain relationships with candidates to ensure the best opportunities for CSP to place them
  • Effectively manage and lead client relationships, including consistent client updates and portfolio management
  • Actively identify and engage in strategic partner relationships with current and potential clients
  • Create new talent pipelines with high-potential candidates for current future job opportunities
  • Assist with new hire onboarding activities such as reference checks, offer letters, etc.
  • Promote the CSP Brand and the respective Practice online and offline
  • Participate in networking and HR-specific events
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Proven work experience as a Staffing Agency Recruiter, Corporate Recruiter or similar role
  • Experience with various interview formats, including phone screening calls, in-person interviews, and group interviews
  • Business development experience preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Suite of tools, Sharepoint, 365, etc.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Experience using professional social networks (i.e., LinkedIn)
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects within deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, diverse team environment
  • Enthusiasm to network and communicate with others
  • Hustle, tenacity, and determination to help grow the CSP brand
  • Previous sales/recruiting experience (including internships) is a plus
  • Experience working in a performance-driven environment


Partner, Practice Director - Accounting & Finance

Rick is a founding member of Chesapeake Search Partners and Practice Director for the Accounting & Finance Practice, facilitating all direct-hire and contractual searches within these fields. Rick began his career as a CPA in public/corporate accounting. He joined the recruiting industry in 1993 with The Mergis Group. He then went on to successfully lead the Accounting & Finance Practice for Stephen James Associates. As he continued those efforts throughout his tenure in the industry, he realized there was a lack of support for the demand of a recruiting partner in these industries within the Baltimore/DC market.

Rick graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
