Julie East is an experienced human resources professional and executive coach who brings a thoughtful, people-centric approach to her work with the Chesapeake HR Solutions team. Driven by helping leaders attain their greatest potential, she takes pride in providing intentional coaching and guidance with our clients and teams. As a former Vice President of HR, her goals included guiding her employers to help them flourish in the areas of culture and employee engagement. Her industry background spans retail, technology, and hospitality.

A Certified Professional Diversity Coach from the Coach Diversity Institute in Washington, DC, Julie also administers and provides coaching around the DISC behavioral assessment. In addition to her primary job functions, her passion lies in helping Operations leaders adopt a strategic mindset.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oklahoma State University, is a graduate of the University of California’s Instructional Design program, and earned a graduate-level certification in Change Management from Johns Hopkins University.
