Meet Zachary Byank. Zachary is an undergraduate student studying Finance and Information Systems at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. Graduating in May 2026, he is actively seeking a Summer 2026 internship in finance, wealth management, or investment analysis in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions to broaden his experience before entering the workforce.
Zachary brings strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with hands-on experience building Excel-based forecasting tools, portfolio performance reports, and client-facing financial summaries.
Most recently, he served as a Wealth Management Intern at Northwestern Mutual, where he supported portfolio analysis and collaborated with investment, tax, and planning specialists to assist in client strategy execution.
Previously, Zachary interned at Wealthspring Financial Partners, working directly with the COO to develop dashboards and streamline client data management processes.
Outside of work, Zachary served as Recruitment Chairman for Sigma Chi, leading efforts that produced the largest pledge class in chapter history, and has volunteered with The Seeing Eye since 2013, a nonprofit organization that trains guide dogs for individuals who are blind.
