We’re excited to introduce Eric Allen, a Financial Economics major at the University of Lynchburg. Eric currently holds a 3.95 GPA and expects to graduate in May 2027. He is exploring career paths in finance, with a growing interest in financial planning.
Eric brings both academic and hands-on experience to the table. As part of the Student Managed Investment Fund at Lynchburg, he has gained valuable exposure to investment strategies, financial analysis, and professional presentations. He now serves as the Alternatives Portfolio Manager, directing a team of analysts on research and trading decisions. He also holds his Bloomberg Market Concepts Certification and is skilled in Bloomberg Terminal operations.
This past summer, Eric completed a Financial Planning Externship with Verus Financial Partners, where he gained insight into tax preparation, estate planning, and the day-to-day operations of a mid-size wealth management firm.
Beyond the classroom, Eric is a member of the University’s men’s lacrosse team, where he has developed strengths in discipline, teamwork, and communication. He also contributes as a campus leader, supporting new students in their transition to college life.
Eric is actively seeking internship opportunities for Summer 2026 in Richmond, Charlotte, Annapolis, or the Washington, D.C. area.
If you or your organization offers opportunities in financial planning, wealth management, or related areas, please get in touch with Eric at allene676@lynchburg.edu.
