James Wilcom is an undergraduate Finance major at the University of South Carolina, pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration with an anticipated graduation in May 2027. With a 3.90 GPA, he has earned recognition on the President’s Honor Roll and Dean’s List. James is seeking a summer 2025 internship in financial advising, wealth management, or financial analysis in the Baltimore-Washington area. He aims to deepen his understanding of client relationships, portfolio diversification, and risk management, building on his coursework in Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Accounting, and Applied Statistics for Business. His hands-on experience includes an Advising Internship at Key Financial Group, where he helped develop practice portfolios and diversification strategies, and an Accounting Internship at Rule4, where he managed payable invoices and improved financial tracking accuracy.
Outside of internships, James is an active member of The Carolina Fund, screening, pitching, and managing equities while mentoring peers in financial modeling. He also participated in the Wharton Global High School Investment Competition, gaining exposure to risk management and business analysis. As a member of Delta Upsilon, he engages in community service and leadership activities.
