Landon is an undergraduate student at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in New York. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and is expected to complete his 5-year program in May 2026.
Landon is seeking a fall 2024 internship in Rochester, NY or Baltimore, MD from late August to early December. He is specifically interested in the field of Computer Science, focusing on Software Engineering, but is open to considering other positions within that realm.
His coursework has equipped him with valuable skills in Artificial Intelligence and Programming Language Concepts. In his AI class, he created a digit recognition model using PyTorch and developed reinforcement learning models for gaming in the Atari Gymnasium Environment. Additionally, he collaborated on a project to develop a Java-based translator for the Jott programming language, covering error handling, tokenization, parsing, semantic analysis, and code generation phases, producing outputs that could be executed in Jott, Python, Java, and C.
Currently, Landon is interning at Allegis Group as a Software Engineering Intern, where he works with Salesforce and develops quality solutions while collaborating in a SAFe Agile framework. The summer prior, he interned at the same company as a Data Scientist/Analyst/Engineer Co-op, working with AI labeling to develop a predictive interest model. He aims to secure a fall internship to further develop and apply his skills in the practical setting.
Landon is proficient in programming languages such as Java, C, Python, Apex, C++, and SQL. During his time in college, he worked on a video game database and query system, focusing on developing the ‘For You’ recommendation systems and menus, as well as the bulk of the SQL queries to display user data.
If you or someone in your network has a fall internship opportunity in Computer Science, specifically Software Engineering, please contact Landon directly at landonbspitzer@gmail.com.
