Meet Christine Sauter, Search Consultant at CSP
Christine joined Chesapeake Search Partners in January 2026, bringing a relationship-driven approach and a passion for helping people navigate meaningful career transitions. As a Search Consultant, she values the opportunity to work closely with both clients and candidates to ensure alignment that extends beyond a job description. “It’s about understanding people and building partnerships that last,” Christine shares.
Before joining CSP, Christine spent four years in IT staffing, where she discovered how impactful it can be to guide professionals through career moves. Earlier in her career, she worked for five years in international tour operations, planning group travel experiences across Europe and beyond. That fast-paced, detail-oriented role strengthened her communication skills and adaptability, both of which now shape her consultative approach to recruiting. “I realized I wanted to focus on helping candidates find their next chapter, not just a temporary stepping stone,” she explains.
In her current role, Christine supports a variety of searches across industries and functions. She approaches client partnerships by first listening carefully to understand the broader business need. “I want to know what success really looks like in the role and what the team dynamic is,” she says. “Once you understand the ‘why’ behind a search, you can be much more strategic in identifying the right person.”
With candidates, Christine looks beyond the resume to uncover motivations, long-term goals, and preferred work environments. She prioritizes transparency and open communication throughout the process. “Above all, I want candidates to feel like they have a true partner, not just a recruiter,” she notes. The initial conversation remains her favorite part of the process, where trust begins, and long-term relationships are formed.
Originally from New Jersey, Christine now lives in Sykesville with her husband and their Cavachon, Remi. A Towson University graduate with a degree in Mass Communication and a minor in Psychology, she enjoys traveling, reading, learning to play golf, and keeping up with her favorite podcasts and shows. She recently celebrated two personal milestones: getting married and purchasing her first home. Having traveled to 24 countries and counting, she continues to seek new experiences both personally and professionally.
For Christine, success is measured by long-term impact. “A new job can change someone’s confidence, financial stability, and long-term trajectory,” she reflects. “It’s incredibly rewarding to know you’ve played a small part in that journey.”
