Meet the Team – Michael Dos Santos, Search Consultant

Meet Michael Do Santos, Search Consultant – Engineering and Operations Practice

Although he’s resided in Bel Air, MD for much of his life, Michael is a loyal New York Yankees and Giants fan. His family is originally from New York, and his extended family is in Portugal – all of who have made sacrifices for Michael to be able to attend college and pursue a career.

Michael joined CSP in 2022 after spending almost two years in the talent acquisition industry focused on lower-level industrial positions. After gaining recruiting experience and developing connections in the industry at another firm, Michael transitioned to CSP where he would have the opportunity to focus on higher-level positions and build closer relationships with clients and candidates. “CSP is truly a special place that keeps its word on its four core values: communication, commitment, consistency, and integrity. My values and CSP’s core values align perfectly and I feel like I am a part of a family,” said Dos Santos.

A driving factor for Michael is that his role gives him the ability to have such a large and positive impact on people’s lives. “I have recognized in this industry that if you treat people with respect, they will never forget you and the service that you provided to them. I have the opportunity to even impact those who don’t land a job by coaching them and helping them understand how they can further develop themselves so that they will have a better chance of landing a job next time. It’s all very rewarding to me.”

When Michael is not building a talent pool of Manufacturing Engineers, Quality Engineers, Project Engineers, and C-level Construction and Labor roles, he spends time coaching a high school-level baseball team and hiking trails in the region with his friends. He hopes to follow in his parent’s footsteps and plant a foundation for himself in the Baltimore area as he looks to purchase a home soon.

Professional search firm promotes Fitzgerald, Levin, and Schneider and establishes Engineering and Operations as a stand-alone practice

BALTIMORE, MD (November 3, 2022)— Chesapeake Search Partners (CSP), a professional search and consulting firm, today announces the continued growth and evolution of the firm, which has doubled in size since early 2021. Patrick Fitzgerald, Jen Schneider, and Matt Levin have been promoted to Assistant Practice Director. Additionally, after seeing strong demand for senior talent across the sales, marketing, engineering, and operations (SMEO) sectors, CSP has split its SMEO practice into two standalone practices, adding Administrative to the Sales and Marketing Practice. Cameron Shinaberry will continue to strategically oversee both practices following the split.

As Assistant Practice Director for Accounting and Finance, Patrick Fitzgerald will oversee Kristen Zak who recently joined CSP as Search Consultant in Accounting & Finance. “Patrick embodies our core values, does business the right way and has been instrumental in supporting our growth since he joined CSP as our first employee eight years ago,” said Rick Fribush, Partner and Practice Director – Accounting and Finance. “In his new role, Patrick will continue to make an impact and lead additional team members as we grow the practice.”

Jen Schneider will oversee Jesse Nigrin, who joined the Sales, Marketing, and Administrative practice as a Junior Search Consultant earlier this year and was recently promoted to Search Consultant.  “Jen has played a pivotal role in the growth of the Sales and Marketing Practice over the last six years,” said Cameron Shinaberry, Practice Director at CSP.  “In addition to landing top Sales and Marketing talent for our partners, she leads special community initiatives at CSP, recently hosting an event to raise funds for Maryland Food Bank during Hunger Action Month.”

Kristin (Sudina) Freitag joins CSP as a Senior Search Consultant for Real Estate and Financial Services. She brings a foundation of recruiting experience stemming from working for her father’s firm and will work alongside Johnny Black and Rachel Talbot to support all direct-hire and temporary real estate and financial services talent searches.
